Our Command Staff:

Chief Smith has served with LVPD since 1988 and was promoted to Chief of Police on February 1st 2001. He is also cross-designated as a US Customs Officer. He holds a Master Peace Officer's Certification.

R.D. Smith Chief of Police

Captain Reyes began his career with Travis County Sheriff's Office in 1989, and joined LVPD in 1992. He is a graduate of the FBI Command College Class of 2009, holds a Master Peace Officer Certification, and is a TCOLE Instructor. Prior to his law enforcement career he served in the US Army.

Jerry Reyes Captain

Lieutenant Franco began his career in 1995 with the El Paso ISD PD. He came to LVPD in 1999. He holds a Master Peace Officer Certification, TCOLE Instructor, Sexual Assault Family Violence Instructor, and Certified School Resource Officer.

Thomas Franco Lieutenant

Detective Sergeant Allocca began his career with LVPD in 1995. He moved on to Leander, Austin ISD, and Marble Falls PD and returned to LVPD in 2011. A recipient of the Texas Award for Valor, issued by the Governor of Texas. He holds a Master Peace Officer's Certification, and is a TCOLE Instructor.

Frank Allocca Detective Sgt.

Sergeant Schofield has been with LVPD since 1992, prior to that he served with the Leander Police Department. He holds an Advanced Peace Officer's Certification.

Troy Schofield Sergeant

Sergeant Brooks retired after twenty-one years with the Prince George's County Police Department in Maryland. He served in several special units to include as a K9 officer, and a Patrol Sergeant. He has been with LVPD since 2014.
